Cars in German City Found Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Officers reported they were alerted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Around 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Police report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.

The fluid had been drawn in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then found numerous other vandalized automobiles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police report initial examinations show the liquid was likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no lead as to where it came from; officials are not yet informed of any harm in connection with the occurrence," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the public for details.

A senior representative commented the attack left him speechless and needed to be solved promptly.

"This incident strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the death of nine victims by a shooter focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
